Varicella-zoster virus nucleic acid detection kit (PCR-fluorescent probe method)

Varicella-zoster virus nucleic acid detection kit (PCR-fluorescent probe method)

Clinical background

Varicella-zoster virus (VZV) is a family of herpesviruses. VZV is highly contagious and can be spread by droplets propagating through the respiratory tract or directly contacting the local mucosa and entering the body; 90% of susceptible children become ill after contact, and serious complications may occur under certain circumstances. Sick chickenpox often occurs in adulthood infections, and the mortality rate is 30-40 times higher than children. Pregnant women suffering from chickenpox during the first 2 weeks of pregnancy are likely to cause fetal squiggles, and infection during the third month of pregnancy may lead to fetal death.
This product adopts PCR-fluorescent probe method, which has the advantages of fast, simple and high-throughput, and can quantitatively detect varicella-zoster virus.
